It was a bit chilly this morning as the athletes began to gather at the start area on Coronado Island. The chill would quickly turn to above-average temperatures as soon as the sun came up. This morning was the 20th Annual Imperial Beach Triathlon and Duathlon. The day started out overcast and cool but the marine layer broke mid-race to reveal sunny conditions and a warm run. The duathlon kicked off first at 7:00 am with the elite wave getting the triathlon underway 10 minutes later.
