The Saucony ProGrid Xodus is a great choice for new and experienced trail runners. The upper part of the shoe is extremely comfortable and the Arch Lock provides a nice tight fit around the arch. The sole of the shoe is provides great traction on a variety of trails types. The moisture wicking properties in the shoe are similar to that of a road shoe. They dry quickly.

Our Performance Opinion:

Trails: It rocks!
Road: Not ideal. It really isn’t designed to be comfortable on the roads. You can run road on it, but it is not nearly as comfortable as in a road shoes.

5k-10k Trail Race: It is light enough to be good for these shorter distances, especially if you are new to running.
Trail Half Marathon & Marathon: Fantastic. The shoe performs well and is very comfortable for long trail events. (Even 6+ hr. events)
