This morning was the first of four trail races in the 2010 Dirt Devil Race Series. About 100 participants came out to Mission Trails Park in San Diego to compete for Saucony shoes, Fuel Belt products, and points towards winning cash prizes at the end of the year. Thanks to a very wet week last week, Mission Trail is full of water and mud, making the event that much more fun! Aside form the mud, the conditions were perfect. It was cool and sunny with no wind.

All participants received a medal for finishing the race and everyone had a great time!

The 5K course is geared towards beginners and is about 80% trails. The trails are mostly fireroad-ish and are very flat. I recommend this race to anyone looking to get into trail racing. It is a good transition race. More information on the race series can be found at http://www.dirtdevilracing.com
