Saucony ProGrid Kinvara
The Saucony ProGrid Kinvara is the newest in the line of lightweight Saucony shoes. Getting down to bare essentials, it is a minimalist shoe. However one might not think so by looking at it, because the drop from the heel to the forefoot is not as aggressive as other minimalist shoes. A “neutral” shoe by definition the ProGrid Kinvara can do whatever you need it to, whether it is long miles, or speed work.
Designed to be lightweight yet durable, the Kinvara is drawing a lot of attention to itself. A light upper, which draws inspiration from a track flat or racing flat and breathes easy while keeping your foot firmly in place while running. Where the rubber meets the road is also made of light material which, combined with harder rubber on the heel and forefoot make this shoe cushioned enough for longer runs, and light enough for speed. The triangle lugs on the forefoot provide a nice spring in the form of energy return make toe-off more powerful, and striking less harsh. You can compare it to the Nike Lunar Racer (1 or 2). Though it is not as light, it is more durable.
