Asics Gel-Cumulus 12
The Asics Cumulus 12 is now in its 12th edition, continuing to strive to be a solid based, light-cushioned shoe. This very shoe is ideal for the neutral runner who is looking for a great rear foot to forefoot cushioned effect, absorbing its rear foot and forefoot GEL® cushioning systems. Although considered a light-weight cushioned shoe, its whopping 11.7 oz (Men’s) & 9.6 oz (Women’s) makes it a sturdier shoe, designed to enhance a lengthen performance, whether it be for shorter runs, or for longer distances. It values at $100 (retail price), which stands a great deal.
The most noticeable change from the Cumulus 11 to the Cumulus 12 is the sturdier, wide-based structure. The Cumulus models are known for having a higher heel structure support, which hugs the back quite comfortably. For women, there’s even a top layer of injected Solyte® that provides a cushioned platform feel in the forefoot. It’s designed this way to offer a lower density, apparently for improved cushioning from heel to toe. The engineering of the shoe stays consistent with its previous models, which continues to strive for cushion and comfort.
